Police are scratching their heads over a bizarre hold up on the city's northwest side overnight, 1200 WOAI news reports.

Detectives say it began when a couple knocked on the door of a home on Baywater Street, which is off Babcock Rd.

Police say the couple told them they were there to inquire about a computer that the people in the house were selling.

But when they entered the house, a man pulled a handgun, tied the man and woman up, put bags over their heads, and stole their money and their cell phones.

The couple got free and ran to a nearby restaurant to summon police. When detectives arrived, they found the home empty, and ransacked.

The questions are many and the answers are few. They don't now who ransacked the home or why. They don't know whether the man who pulled the gun actually lives at the home. And they're still suspicious about why people who be computer shopping at midnight.
