A ruptured gas line is suspected in a raging fire that destroyed two homes in east Bexar County this morning, 1200 WOAI news reports.

The fire broke out in a single family home at Whistler and Goya Streets, which is near Montgomery and Gibbs-Sprawl, about 3:30 this morning.

Fire crews from several companies converged to fight the fire, which spread to the house next door and destroyed it as well.

A couple who lives in the first house got out safely.  Nobody was believed to be in the second home, but fire crews are concerned about the whereabouts of the family.

  Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.

  Crews remain on the scene.
