A San Antonio Police Officer and another motorist were hurt Sunday morning when they collided while the officer was rushing to a report of a Sheriff's Deputy in trouble, 1200 WOAI news reports.

Police say the police officer had his lights and siren operating when he was speeding down UTSA Boulevard about 3:15 Sunday morning.  A Sheriff's Deputy had reported being in trouble at the Aspen Oaks Apartments off Hausman Road near UTSA.

Officials say a pickup headed westbound on UTSA failed to give the police car the right of way and the two collided.

The pickup tumbled down the embankment and wound up in front of the front door of a Valero station.

Neither man was seriously hurt.  No word on possible charges.
