No winner Saturday means the Powerball Jackpot has increased to close to $400 million dollars, their third largest tally in U.S. History.

Each ticket cost two dollars, a seemingly small gamble with a potentially huge payoff.

“Of course I’m going to buy a ticket, I’m probably going to buy more than one,” said one lady standing in line at a gas station.

The most current jackpot comes just months after the record high $590.5 million dollar jackpot was won.

“I buy lottery tickets every week,” confessed one woman. “And when the pot is even bigger I make sure to buy even more.”

Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The odds of matching all six numbers:  1 in 175.2 million.

“It’s just two dollars,” said one man. “That’s hardly that big of a gamble.”
