The San Antonio Spurs are 'going BDU' to honor the men and women of the Armed Forces.

1200 WOAI news reports the Spurs will wear camouflage-pattered uniforms at the November 13th home game against the Washington Wizards.

"Playing in San Antonio, we're constantly reminded of the selflessness and courage of those that serve," said Spurs guard Danny Green.  "We owe them a debt of gratitude and it is an honor to recognize and show support to all active and retired military members."

The Spurs' military roots run deep, with head coach Greg Popovich a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The miltiary uniforms are part of the Adidas and NBA Pride Uniform Collection, in which each team is encouraged to wear uniforms which recognize the core identity, history, and culture of their part of the country.

The Spurs will wear the uniforms twice during the upcoming season.
