Bexar County Deputies say Crime Stoppers has issued a reward of up to $5,000 for the arrest of a woman who stole an elderly woman's wallet at a north side store and went on a wild spending spree, Newsradio 1200 WOAI reports.
The wallet was stolen from the Hobby Lobby store at US 281 and TPC Parkway on the far north side.
The young woman, even though she doesn't look anything like the victim, then went on a major spending spree, passing the woman's credit cards at three stores across the north side, racking up more than $1200 in charges in just a couple of hours.
The woman purchased bizarre items, buying a marine batter at Academy Sports and Outdoors at Loop 1604 and Gold Canyon, and buying cases of Dr. Pepper at a Valero at Loop 1604 and Bulverde Road.
When she is caught, she faces felony charges of Credit Card Fraud and Abuse, with an enhancement because the victim is elderly.
