Two men are under arrest in connection with an arson fire early Saturday that destroyed a northwest side home, and killed five dogs which were inside at the time, Newsradio 1200 WOAI reports.

It happened in the 200 block of East Skyview, which is near Bandera and Callaghan.

The first firefighters on the scene told Newsradio 1200 WOAI there was heavy smoke coming from the building.

It took firefighters about 45 minutes to put out the flames.

The occupants of the house were not at home, but when firefighters entered the house they found the dogs.

A pickup was seen speeding away from the scene of the fire.

About three hours later, police pulled over a pickup matching the description, and police found a five gallon container of 'flammable liquid' in the truck.

The two men in the truck were arrested.

  The house was completely destroyed.
