Several top officials of the Obama Administration are in San Antonio today to deal with the flood of Central American refugee children into the United States, 1200 WOAI news reports.
The delegation is led by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, and includes representatives of the Department of Defense, as well as FEMA and the Border Patrol.
A news release says the group will stop at Lackland Air Force Base where some 1,000 of the refugee children are being temporarily housed.
Johnson will also visit Border Patrol facilities in the Rio Grande Valley.
"The group will view the ongoing government wide response to the influx of unaccompanied children along the Southwest border," the Department of Homeland Security said.
