It's time to come clean, because people with hot checks in their past will soon find themselves in hot water, Newsradio 1200 WOAI reports.

Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed plans a hot check roundup soon, where deputies will fan out and cuff people who have written bad checks.

Reed says anybody who suspects they might be on the list, should go to her office or call 335-2415.

She says anybody who does not settle up may find themselves hooked up by a deputy.

She says the roundup will begin 'in September.'
