Machine Gun Kelly Scares Fans With Gnarly New Neck Tattoo

April Fools' Day may be long over but Machine Gun Kelly sent fans into a brief panic when he uploaded photos of his new neck tattoo on Tuesday (April 20).

The pop-punk singer/rapper showed off a thin blood-red vertical line down his throat that made it look like someone sliced him with a knife at first glance — especially paired with the redness surrounding the fresh ink.

Fans immediately took to the comments to playfully yell at MGK for making them worry about his well-being. “Thought that was a legit slice in ur neck,” one fan commented while another wrote, “The way my f****** heart stopped!”

Thankfully, all is well and the bright red tattoo is just a center line for whatever ink he chooses next. “bye bye neck. 💉” he captioned the carousel while on Twitter he wrote, “yatted the neck. sorry. 🙃". In the video clip he posted, MGK can be heard saying, “Hey, if anyone liked my neck, it’s about to look different.”

The "Lonely" singer hasn't updated fans with what he's planning for his neck but it's one of the only spots left on his body not to be covered in ink by his 70+ other tattoos — which he started getting at the tender age of 14.

In a past interview with iHeartRadio, MGK told us his favorite tattoo was his Salvador Dali-inspired back piece.

MGK recently released his newest single, "DAYWALKER! featuring CORPSE" which sees him go back to his rap and hip-hop beginnings.

While we don't have a release date for new music, MGK has another release in store for fans this fall: a nail polish line. The news should come as no surprise as he's always rocking the best nail art. More info to come!
