Dave Grohl & AC/DC's Brian Johnson Join Forces At 'VAX Live' Concert

Foo Fighters invited AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson to the stage for an awesome performance at “VAX Live.”

"VAX Live: The Concert to Reunite the World" saw Dave Grohl and his band rock out with the "Thunderstruck" rocker for an intense version of AC/DC's 1980 classic “Back in Black” in front of a live crowd at So-Fi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Elsewhere during the Foo Fighters’ six-song set, the band rocked out with a number of fan-favorite tracks including “My Hero,” “Everlong,” “Times Like These,” “All My Life,” and “Best of You.”

“Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World” went down as part of Global Citizen’s Recovery Plan for the World, a year-long campaign and series advocating for the end of COVID-19 across the globe, the end of the hunger crisis, to resume worldwide education, to advance equity for all, and raise awareness on protecting the planet.

Hosted by Selena Gomez, Global Citizen’s concert event filled 27,000 seats at the 70,000-seat venue, and among the concertgoers in the crowd were vaccinated essential and frontline healthcare workers who have spent the past year helping to combat the spread of COVID-19 in America.

The Foo Fighters and Johnson are among the myriad of musical acts that are delivering live performances in addition to Jennifer Lopez, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, J Balvin, and H.E.R.

"VAX Live: The Concert to Reunite the World" will be filmed at So-Fi Stadium in Los Angeles, and aired across iHeartMedia radio stations and on the iHeartRadio app, as well as on YouTube and major networks including ABC, CBS, and FOX on Saturday, May 8th at 8 p.m. ET.
