Bruce Springsteen — "The Boss" — is an iconic part of Rock and is being celebrated (along with his Tracks II: The Lost Albums release) during his iHeartRadio ICONS special on June 27th.
Tracks II: The Lost Albums is a deep dive into the vaults, offering fans a rare and intimate look at the music that almost was. This expansive box set compiles 56 previously unreleased songs spanning decades, including six fully sequenced albums that were recorded but never officially released. Showcasing alternate takes, raw demos, and abandoned sessions, Tracks II paints a fuller picture of Springsteen's creative process and evolution, revealing the depth of his storytelling and the bold sonic directions he explored behind the scenes. For longtime fans and new listeners alike, it’s an essential companion to his official discography.
In a statement, Springsteen explained of his previously-unreleased albums in an exclusive interview with Jim Kerr, "I went into the vault ... and I realized that these albums were basically finished. I liked them and thought that the fans would be interested in hearing them because they fill in spaces of my work life that hadn’t been filled in before. They are all different genres and a different moment in time, and I think it will give fans a good idea of what I was doing a lot of the time in the '90s or how my creative process works."
Fans can tune in to the exclusive "iHeartRadio ICONS with Bruce Springsteen, Celebrating Tracks II: The Lost Albums" at midnight local time on June 27th through July 3rd on iHeartRadio Classic Rock and Classic Hits stations, as well as on the free iHeartRadio app.
