Jack Osbourne provided an update on the upcoming biopic about his late father, music legend Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in 2025 at the age of 76.
"I can tell you this, we are moving ahead," the former reality television star revealed in a livestream on Tuesday (May 12). "I was on calls today about it, the script is, like, right there. We are good, this movie will absolutely happen." Watch the recording here.
However, despite the progress, he revealed that the movie likely will not see the light of day until 2028. "But you never know," he admitted. "We're full steam ahead, we're about to start going out and getting a director attached."
The rock icon's X (formerly Twitter) account officially announced the project back in 2021. "Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment are developing a biopic chronicling the extraordinary life of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, and the great love story between him and his wife, Sharon," the post read.
In March, Jack welcomed his fifth child, a baby girl named Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, in honor of her music icon grandfather.
