After taking an 11-year break from recording, the members of Staind have revealed a new album is on the way.
The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2011’s Staind is expected to drop sometime next year, says guitarist Mike Mushok, who blames the delay on two things: the coronavirus pandemic and frontman Aaron Lewis’ busy solo career. "Aaron's built up a great following and a great career that he'll fully pursue,” Mushok says. “If we can do some Staind shows in there, it would be great. If we can find a week here or there or maybe a tour every now and then, I'd be cool with that. I’m kind of taking it as it comes, one day at a time.”
Staind kicked off a brief tour over the weekend in Niagara Falls, New York. The trek wraps up on September 23rd in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
